The adidas I-5923 White Gum takes inspiration from 1970s-era silhouettes and reimagines a versatile, functional sneaker with style and bounce.
The White Gum iteration of the adidas I-5923 features an upper of pale grayish–white stretch-knit mesh that offers breathability and comfort. Gray suede overlays reinforce the toe cap and eyestays. The gray suede overlay at the heel counter contains cut-out windows on both sides of the heel for a singular look. White leather is used to craft the signature three stripes on the side panel and the heel tab with pale gray adidas trefoil branding. Pale gray laces match the breathable sock liner and the tongue with adidas trefoil branding on the white tongue tag.
What we appreciate most about this sneaker is the modern addition of a white Boost midsole that offers ultimate cushioning and springy energy return. The black rubber outsole features grooves for traction and lattice-work vents for Boost expansion. The adidas I-5923 White Gum was released on June 1, 2018, for $130 retail.
