The adidas Orion Terry Fox 40th Anniversary was released to celebrate the fortieth Terry Fox marathon, pioneered by a Canadian basketball player and runner of the same name to raise funds and awareness for cancer.
On its toe cap, the adidas Orion features textured rubber covering a suede mudguard. Both have a collegiate navy color to match the rest of the shoe. The nylon underlay of this shoe first appears on the vamp. It stretches over the quarter panels, which display the three stripes in a cloud of white and metallic bronze "TERRY FOX" branding on the lateral side. A bluebird-branded tongue logo offsets the navy hue. Suede overlays cover the heel counter, as a white leather adorned by an embossed Trefoil graces the mustache.
