Product Description
The Air Jordan 1 Retro kicked off 2001 with this special edition pair. Coming in neutral grey and metallic silver, this was the first new colorway of the AJ 1 since its debut run from '85-86. The first "2001 Addition," they were made to commemorate the new century. True to the originals in high-top form, they feature a grey-based nubuck upper with silver accents. A Japan exclusive, they were limited to 2,001 pairs, individually numbered on the inside tongue tag. Kicking things up a notch was the packaging. They came in a silver suitcase, a predecessor to the Air Jordan XVII's. The main difference between the two cases is that the Air Jordan 1 Retro came with a set of keys to open to case while the AJ 17 cases just had notches you flipped open. Their release date was January 1st, 2001 and the majority of pairs made consisted of small sizes, making the larger sizes harder to obtain and more sought after. They are a must-have for any Air Jordan aficionado, or Air Jordan 1 fan. If you're looking to buy a pair, hit up the marketplace and see what's cooking. If you have a pair to sell, there's always someone online looking to add these gems to their collection.
