Product Description
In March of 2015, Nike released the Nike Air Max 1 "Patch Pack." A set of Air Max Ones that were released together, the pack included the Nike Air Max 1 V SP "Black Patch" which featured a monochromatic black upper with a hyperfuse overlay that wrapped from the heel and circumferenced the entire shoe while also acting as a mudguard. And although the no-sew mudguard on the Black Patch AM1 withdrew some dimension from the front of the shoe, it was definitely off-set by the back paneling and tongue which featured velcro. The velcro on the back of the AM1 Patch Black allowed owners to interchange any number of 22 different patches that were included as a set with the shoes. The Black Air Max 1's patches represented the different NikeLab cities at the time as well as Tinker Hatfield (the original Air Max designer) and the original Air Max box in which the original Air Max 1 was released. With a retail price of $130 , the Nike Air Max 1 V SP "Black Patch" sold out very quickly due to its limited nature, customization possibilities and extremely wearable colorway. Finished with an American flag on the insole, these Nike Patches definitely gave owners, and their shoes, some personality.
