Product Description
The Nike Air Max Lunar90 SP Moon Landing designs a classic silhouette to make it look as though it is actually made of moon rock. This shoe celebrates the 45th anniversary of Neil Armstrong becoming the first person to walk on the moon.
The Special Project Nike Air Max Lunar90 Moon Landing has an upper where both the base and the overlays are composed of textile printed with gray and black graphics of moon rock. The graphics on the textile also mimic the hits of TPU on the quarter panel and eyestays that are signature features of this silhouette. This upper, which makes you look twice, rests upon a gray-speckled foam midsole that is composed of Lunarlon cushioning technology and houses a visible air unit beneath the heel. The black rubber outsole is grooved and lugged to absorb impact and provide grip.
What we appreciate the most about this sneaker are the sewn-on, mismatched heel patches. With debossed Nike Air branding, these tabs are reminiscent of the American flag. The Nike Air Max Lunar90 SP Moon Landing debuted on July 20, 2014, for $145 retail.
