The Air Jordan 28 is a “Stealth” inspired silhouette designed by Tinker Hatfield and Josh Heard. It is available in different designs and colorways.
Air Jordan 28 features an upper constructed with two layers: an outer 8-inch shroud made of a durable, abrasion-proof Schoeller textile and an inner made of fuse, mesh, and Lycra. The concept of stealth inspiration is visible in the shroud that extends past the ankle. It is an extended internal cleat with cushion pods in the heel section and a thickly padded tongue. The Air Jordan XX8 also features a midfoot shank for support and an external butterfly heel counter made of carbon fiber. The Flight Plate Technology, which makes its debut in the Jordan XX8, is used on the midsole. It features a PEBAX “moderator plate” that allows the placement of the Unlocked heel and forefoot Zoom Air units in the midsole without using the regular foam in between the foot and Air pods. A Phylon case surrounds the units.
Air Jordan 28 sneakers come in a translucent or solid rubber outsole, depending on the colorway. A Dynamic Fit System that utilizes two layers of material comprising mesh and a stretchy material known as Lycra makes up the shoe’s lockdown. The sneaker features the traditional lacing system with finger-shaped lace loops, while the outer shroud has a sturdy zipper. The outsole features a full-length spiral-shaped tread pattern resembling a fingerprint with multi-directional grooves for traction. Air Jordan 28 is available in different designs. If you don’t prefer the high-cut sleeve, you can opt for the Air Jordan XX8 SE versions like the SE Gym Red. Special edition high-cut sleeve Jordan XX8s like the Think 16 (Locked & Loaded) and Red Elephant are also part of this selection.
