The Casio G-Shock MRGB5000B-1 is based on the Casio DW-5000C, which was the very first G-Shock watch released all the way back in 1983. It’s a part of the MR-G series that is widely considered to be the pinnacle of the entire G-Shock collection.
This watch has a unique bezel that’s made up of 25 parts. Each of these parts has been polished with what’s known as Sallaz polishing to give the watch a stunning finish that really shines. The watch is also made to be very durable, as it has a case, bezel, and band that are all made out of high-quality titanium alloy. But even still, Casio has outfitted it with a shock-resistant multi-guard structure that will provide its parts with all the protection they need.
What our experts appreciate most about this watch, though, are the subtle nods to the Casio DW-5000C that exist, such as the red line that runs around the outside of the digital display.
