The Colorblock White Black adidas NMD R1 features an upper with a base of white knit. Tonal synthetic overlays form the eyestays, as well as the signature three stripes on the side panel. Rectangular black synthetic overlays hit the bottom of the eyestays, the mudguard at the heel, and the heel. A white TPU overlay with embossed adidas trefoil branding is molded around the heel for both style and support and partially covers a white heel pull tab with black branding. White laces crisscross over a white tongue to complete the crisp look of this upper.
What we appreciate most about this lifestyle shoe is the sole built for comfort and style. A white Boost midsole offers cushioning and energy return and has EVA plugs for support, one of which sports manufacturer-like branding. Both the black insole and the white rubber outsole have lattice-work vents to allow the Boost to expand.
