adidas unveiled the adidas Ultra Boost DNA Yuanxiao right after the start of the Lunar New Year in 2020. It was created to help celebrate the Lantern Festival that took place that year, as evidenced by the "Yuanxiao" in its name which refers to the rice balls served during this festival.
This adidas Ultra Boost DNA featured intricate designs all over it that were inspired by the many flowers used during the Lantern Festival. It also had a black nubuck base with colorful red and gold accents scattered throughout it. The sneakers were equipped with adidas’ patented Boost technology as well.
The best part about this sneaker, though, may be the textured portion of its upper that brought the whole shoe to life. It helped make the plants and other patterns on the sneakers stand out more prominently. The adidas Ultra Boost DNA Yuanxiao was released on February 8, 2020, and it retailed for $180.
