Like the adult-sized version, the infants’ model features an RPU overlay that forms a cage around the mesh upper. RPU is made of rubber as well as other materials often found in molded plastic, so the overlay cage appears stiff, but it has some give. The sneaker gets its name from the safflower-colored mesh with gray stripes that peeks out from behind the cage. On the inside, a contrasting black bootie provides a secure fit and tonally matches the thin laces. The sneaker doesn’t have a tongue, which contributes to its sleek design.
