The BAPE New Year 2021 Tee White is a 100% cotton short-sleeved t-shirt in White, featuring a printed graphic on the front in black.
BAPE, which can also be referred to as A Bathing Ape, is a Japanese streetwear brand that debuted in the Ura-Harajuku neighborhood of Tokyo in the 1990s. Founder Nigo, a member of Teriyaki Boyz and DJ, was inspired by the 1968 film Planet of the Apes. The brand borrowed from the film to create its ape head artwork, which is used regularly across the brand’s products, and in the New Year 2021 Tee, they borrowed text from the film as well. At the White BAPE New Year 2021 Tee, the ape head image centers the artwork, framed by the A Bathing Ape logo above. Ape Shall Never Kill Ape text in the script appears below the ape head. Additional artwork and branding appear on the left sleeve and inner collar label.
