Released as part of Converse’s collaboration with American hip-hop artist Vince Staples, the Black Vince Staples Converse Chuck Taylor All Star 70s Hi is based on merchandise created for the staff who worked on the Life Aquatic Tour of his album, Big Fish Theory. It features canvas uppers dressed in black highlighted with white stitching along the laces and on the collar, white laces, black eyelets, an orange strip with SEA embroidery at the heel, a Converse Chuck Taylor logo on an orange leather patch, and orange BIG and FISH branding on the tongue. Other notable highlights on this shoe include an Aquarium-printed sock liner, a white midsole with orange and black pinstripes, and a vulcanized, translucent rubber outsole with a Big Fish Theory graphic.
