The Alma was the brainchild of Gaston Vuitton, who named it after the Alma Bridge, located across the river Seine in Paris. This bag is so effortlessly chic with its unique shape and structured presence. The Alma is a bag that can remain a sophisticated fashion piece no matter what the occasion. The Alma features a double zipper that zips to the top along with interior pockets. The hardware is a shiny brass and the exterior is made of coated canvas. The trim and handles are made of vachetta leather, which beautifully patinas over time. The Alma has four gold feet at the bottom of the bag to keep the base from scratching and collecting dirt. Not that this bag is meant for the ground by any means. The Monogram Canvas Alma is available in six unique sizes: Nano, BB, PM, MM, and GM. Many choose the PM for evening use, and the MM for everyday use. While this bag is a top handle that’s sole use is to be worn either by hand or in the crook of the arm, a separate strap can be purchased to wear the Alma crossbody.
