The New Balance 9060 Castlerock combines elements of other New Balance silhouettes to create an eye-catching high-octane running shoe.

The Castlerock New Balance 9060 has an upper with a base of white and gray mesh overlaid with wavy strips of black and gray leather, an aesthetic borrowed from the 990 to give a sense of visible motion. The side-panel N is embroidered in small stripes while a solid N is embroidered at the base of the black laces. NB branding is also embroidered on the heel above the translucent CR device. The black leather tongue with gleaming red branding hearkens back to the 991.

The feature that makes this running shoe stand apart is the exaggerated sculpted pod midsole made of ABZORB to absorb impact and provide cushioning. The ABZORB SBS in the heel offers comfort and stability. The black rubber outsole with red diamonds pays homage to the 860. The New Balance 9060 Castlerock was released on July 26, 2023, for $150 retail.
