The Doernbecher Garrett Nike ACG Mountain Fly 2 Low was designed by Garrett Amerson, a 12-year-old born at extreme prematurity at OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Amerson infuses the trail-inspired ACG Mountain Fly 2 Low with details that pay tribute to the Pacific Northwest. For instance, the outer side panel displays an outline of Mount Hood with silhouetted evergreens and clouds. Mud splatter motifs decorate the midsole and the rugged outsole, which draws inspiration from mountain bike tires.
Our experts like the purple butterfly next to Mount Hood. It honors Amerson’s twin brother who passed away in the NICU and can be found throughout Amerson’s collaboration with Nike. The Nike ACG Mountain Fly 2 Low Doernbecher Garrett was released on December 2, 2023, and sold for $150.
