For the creation of the Nike Air Huarache Run Laser Fuchsia (GS), designer Tinker Hatfield was inspired by the construction of water skiing boots. This iteration of the silhouette is specifically sized for grade school-aged kids.
The Laser Fuchsia (GS) Nike Air Huarache Run begins with an upper of pink mesh overlaid with pink synthetic leather at the toe cap, vamp, eyestays, collar, and heel. A pink synthetic structural cage emanates from the bottom of the upper towards the side panel in a dynamic slant and arches across the heel, sporting tonal embossed Nike branding. This bright upper surrounds an inner pink bootie fashioned of neoprene. Flat pink laces ensure a snug closure and have a choice of narrow or widely spaced eyelets. The upper sits on a midsole finished in pink that rests on a pink rubber outsole.
Our favorite detail of this kids’ sneaker is the one hit of non-pink on the upper, the white piping that courses across the upper, sneaking beneath the overlays. The Nike Air Huarache Run Laser Fuchsia (GS), was released on January 1, 2019, for an $85 retail period.
