This iteration of the Nike Air Max 1 ‘87 features a leather and textile upper in different shades of Safari Beige. The mesh base is breathable and flexible. Textured zebra-striped leather overlays run from the midsole to the laces, around the hell, and the entire shoe just above the white rubber outsole. They are textured leather reptilian overlays. The Nike swoosh appears in a lighter beige on the midsole, with the Nike Air logo on the heel and the Nike Air Max branding on the tongue. 

What we appreciate most about this shoe is the transparent Air Max Unit in the heel of the chunky rubber outsole. Not only does this element provide comfort and performance enhancement, but it also makes the shoe more stylish.
