Product Description
When Tinker Hatfield was putting the finishing touches on the now-iconic Nike Air Max 1 in the late 1980s, he probably didn't picture anyone ever wearing the shoe on the golf course. But Nike Golf reimagined the shoe several years ago and made it more golf-friendly by creating the Nike Air Max 1 Golf Payday.
Also known as the Nike Air Max 1 Paid in Full, this sneaker features a black leather upper with gold Nike branding on the tongue, heel, and sides of the shoe. It also has all-black laces and a speckled off-white midsole with a visible air pocket in it.
But according to our sneaker experts, the best aspect of this shoe is the money-inspired mudguard that looks like it's covered with shredded dollar bills. This pattern continues on the outsole and ties the theme of this AM1 together. The Nike Air Max 1 Golf Payday was released on January 30, 2019, when it retailed for $140.
