The Nike Air Max 180, created by legendary designers Tinker Hatfield and Bruce Kilgore, was first introduced in 1991. It has been unveiled in a variety of different colorways since then. The Nike Air Max 180 Night Ops sees it taking on a more covert appearance than usual as a result of its tonal design.
The entire upper on this Air Max 180 is covered in black, right down to its stingray-embossed Swooshes and underlays constructed out of ripstop mesh. But it's nicely offset by bright Neon Green accents that show up on the Nike Air branding on the heel and in the Air bag situated in the midsole.
Our experts are impressed with how much the relatively small Neon Green accents impact this shoe. They soften up the black upper while also highlighting the Air bags, which are some of the sneaker's best design features. The Nike Air Max 180 Night Ops was released on August 23, 2018, for a $150 retail price.
