The Light Blue Nike Air Max 97 starts with an upper base of pale blue mesh. Undulating strips of white leather overlays circle the shoe, leaving a cutout window at the midfoot mudguard for a miniature Nike Swoosh. White rope laces cross over a blue mesh tongue that sports a white leather overlay, as well as a silvery Nike Swoosh. The pale blue sock liner matches the insole, which features a white Nike Swoosh. A convenient pale blue pull tab at the heel with Air Max branding completes the look of this upper.
The aspect of this shoe we find most impressive is the sole unit. A white foam midsole provides cushioning and houses a full-length unit of visible Air. The white rubber outsole features grooves, a modified waffle pattern, and a bright red Nike Swoosh. The Nike Air Max 97 Light Blue was released on September 1, 2018, for $160 retail.
