The USA iteration of the Nike Air VaporMax Flyknit 3 features a blue and white Flyknit upper overlaid with red Flyknit cords. Red Flywire cables course up the side panel and become the eyestays to provide a more secure fit across the midfoot. Translucent red TPU forms a toe cap overlay and heel counter, the snug collar is snowy white, and the pull tab at the heel is bright red. Underfoot, a translucent VaporMax Air unit runs the length of the shoe to provide a walking-on-air feeling. Pods of blue rubber hit the outsole at the forefoot and heel to give grip and absorb impact.
What we enjoy most about this patriotic sneaker are the hits of solid blue on the upper that tie into the blue rubber on the outsole: the TPU heel counter with white VaporMax branding, the side-panel Nike Swoosh, and the flat laces.
