The Nike Ja 1 Year of the Dragon (GS) is a shoe for grade schoolers designed to help celebrate the 2024 Lunar New Year.

The Year of the Dragon (GS) version of the Nike Ja 1 has a crisp white mesh upper for breathability. Under the white mesh on the sides, a bright-blue color peeks out. White leather forms the toe cap and mudguard, which encircles the entire shoe. A white leather overlay with a scale pattern in metallic gold is also on each side, separating the forefoot from the rest of the shoe. A textured Nike Swoosh appears on each side, while the glacier-blue heel collar contains Ja Morant’s branding. The gold heel collar contains the number 12 in red, while the tongue also contains Morant’s logo in red. The thick white midsole is equipped with an Air Zoom unit.
