Nike unveiled its 12 Soles collection in 2016, featuring a dozen of its most sought-after basketball sneaker designs. The Nike Kobe Elite Low 4KB Liquid Lime, which is also sometimes referred to as the Nike Kobe Elite 4KB Ghost of Christmas Past, was one of the sneakers that was a part of this collection.
Seemingly pulling inspiration from The Grinch, this Nike Kobe Elite sneaker had a bright liquid lime Flyknit upper. Rather than having a large Swoosh on the side like previous Kobe sneakers, it included a small Swoosh toward the back of the shoe done up in a dark obsidian color. There was also an interesting design on the sneaker’s mesh heel that looked almost like a set of ribs.
But in our expert opinion, the coolest thing about this Kobe sneaker was that it had several different elements that were glow-in-the-dark. Those elements and the sneaker’s translucent outsole made it stand out even more than it would normally. The Nike Kobe Elite Low 4KB Liquid Lime was released on December 24, 2016, and retailed for $220.
