Product Description
The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Doernbecher Catalina presents the original designs of Catalina Vazquez, a sixteen-year-old patient at OHSU hospital recovering from the Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease.
Inspired by the Galapagos Islands, Catalina’s favorite spot, the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski features a baby blue canvas on the quarter panels and the heel. The eyelets feature embroidered flower aglets paying homage to nature. Besides a tone-on-tone Swoosh on the sidewalls, a black DNA strand pattern adorns the quarters. The heel counter features more detailing, with a black heart motif appearing alongside a broken heart. Contrasting the blue hue on the rear is a white canvas vamp with a vibrantly colored butterfly that symbolizes the motivating process of metamorphosis. The tongue is also white, with blue "Catalina" and butterfly embroidery on the tag.
We love the personal touch on the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Doernbecher Catalina, including the black "THE CURE IS IN OUR GENES" imprint on the vulcanized rubber sole. Nike released this shoe on April 30th, 2022, for $85.
