At first glance, it might appear as though the Nike SFB Gen 2 8" GORE-TEX Black would be difficult to walk around in, let alone run around in while traveling over rough terrain. But it's lighter than it looks and can provide you with the flexibility you won't always find in other tactical boots.
This boot was constructed almost entirely out of a combination of synthetic leather and nylon canvas. This made it lightweight while also allowing for it to be very durable. But it didn't stop there, as the boot also included Nike Free technology in the sole to make it more flexible than it would be otherwise and a traction pattern on the bottom that enabled it to maintain its grip on many different types of surfaces.
What we liked most about this boot, though, was the rock shield on the interior that prevented it from sustaining punctures. It illustrated just how tough this boot was from top to bottom. The Nike SFB Gen 2 8" GORE-TEX Black was released on April 1, 2018, and it initially retailed for $195.
