Product Description

The Reebok Court Victory Pump was made popular by tennis great Michael Chang. The original colorway was cemented in history when Chuang won the French Open at Roland Garros in 1989. Chang been doing the television advertisements for the Reebok Court Victory Pump, tossing the competing Nike shoe of the time away and telling people, "If you want to beat those Rock n'Roll tennis guys...Pump up and air out!" Michael Chang was featured on huge Reebok ads in magazines and as part of the ads, he would list the string tension in his racket, his grips size, and the number of pumps on each of his Court Victorys; it was 16 pumps for the left foot and 21 pumps for the right foot. The mostly white leather upper lead to many colorways that flaunted bright pops of neon colors -- like the yellow at the midsoel and heel on this pair -- which was so '90s. The Reebok Court Victory Pump rocks a bright yellow tennis ball Pump at the tongue instead of the orange basketball Pump featured on the hardwood Pump silhouettes of the time. These are supremely classic and harken back to a time when Reebok and Nike competed directly in all sports.

Please Note: due to natural aging, deadstock pairs may come without a functioning pump unit.
