Product Description
The Concepts x Reebok Insta Pump Fury OG Versace collaboration was inspired by the popularity of the Italian brand Versace within hip hop during the 1990s. Rappers like Puff Daddy and Notorious BIG were frequently seen in silk Versace shirts throughout their music videos. In fact, the colorway of the Versace Concepts Pump Fury is the same color combination as the shirt worn by Tupac in the E-40 Rapper's Ball music video. Originally released in 1994 the Insta Pump Fury released with a CO2 based instant Pump system and was one of the most outrageous running shoe designs ever created. Reebok celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Pump Fury-- with a traditional Reebok Pump system, labeled as OG on the boxes-- through a series of collabs with boutiques. Boston's Concepts chose the over-the-top Versace-esque design for an equally bold sneaker, the Insta Pump Fury. The laceless design of the Pump Fury allows the materials used on color makeups to be better seen than sneakers with traditional shoelaces, which allows the blue, gold, black and pink of the Versace Pump Fury. The Concepts Pump Fury originally released for the price of $170 and sold quickly when it released and was also available in store at the Cambridge Concepts location with a premium box and dust bag.
Please Note: due to natural aging, deadstock pairs may come without a functioning pump unit.
