Seiko has created its fair share of wristwatches on its own over the last century, but the company has also routinely worked with other brands over time to unveil collaborative efforts. The Seiko Prospex x NEIGHBORHOOD 202SQSQN-AC01S watch was just one example of Seiko's willingness to partner with another brand.
For this collaboration, Seiko teamed up with streetwear label NEIGHBORHOOD, which was first launched by Shinsuke Takizawa. He's known to love vintage watches, so the Seiko Prospex x NEIGHBORHOOD watch had a decidedly vintage look and feel with its stainless-steel case and silicone band. The retro-inspired hour and minute hands and indexes also helped sell the old-school appearance of this watch.
What our experts appreciated most about the watch, though, was the Seiko and NEIGHBORHOOD branding on its dial that added some modern flair. The Seiko Prospex x NEIGHBORHOOD 202SQSQN-AC01S watch was released in January 2021 and retailed for $665.
