The Air Jordan 23 was first introduced in 2008, and to mark the occasion, Jordan Brand unveiled a "Countdown Pack" that included the Air Jordan 16 as well as the Air Jordan 7 with the numbers attached to these shoes adding up to 23. The Jordan 16 Retro Bred CDP (2008) was the Jordan 16 chosen to be a part of this limited-edition pack.

This Jordan 16 features an all-black upper with black patent leather on it. It also has a leather shroud that covers up the sneaker's laces.
