The Jordan 2 Retro Nightshade takes a classic silhouette and replaces the faux lizard print from the original Bruce Kilgore design with a safari overlay design conceived by Tinker Hatfield.
The upper of this mid-top Nightshade Jordan 2 Retro is crafted from dark teal nubuck. Perforations rim the toe cap to enhance airflow and comfort. The overlay circling from midfoot around the toe to midfoot and the padded collar are covered in textured, darker nubuck. The side panel overlay is outlined with volt piping that glows in the dark. A black synthetic heel counter adds support and sports volt Nike branding. The black foam midsole that encapsulates Air features volt speckles. The grippy outsole features rubber pods in shades of volt, gray, and black.
The detail that really makes this pair of sneakers pop is the laces. Black with volt speckles, these laces add an eye-catching note to the upper and match the midsole. The Jordan 2 Retro Nightshade was released on May 17, 2014, for $150.
