Virgil Abloh has joined forces with Japanese streetwear legend NIGO to release a collaborative capsule collection called LV², marking Virgil's first collaboration at Louis Vuitton since joining in 2018 as the Men's Artistic Director. The Louis Vuitton NIGO collaboration launched worldwide in June 2020. Staying true to the Maison's codes, the two designers have fused their approach to fashion in an assortment of pieces across bags, accessories, apparel, and footwear. The Louis Vuitton Keepall Bandoulière 50 gets a makeover, while the shape of the iconic Keepall remains unchanged, the Giant Damier Ebene canvas is topped with a version of Nigo's symbolic dripping ice cream motif in the classic Monogram coated canvas. This Keepall features a large capacity interior with textile lining and inside zipped pocket, natural cowhide leather trim, black hardware, and a double-zip closure. Included accessories are: padlock with keys, a leather strap with a metallic buckle for handles, removable leather nametag, and adjustable and removable leather shoulder strap. The Louis Vuitton NIGO Keepall Bandoulière 50, Giant Damier Ebene retailed for $2,810 at the time of release; it measures 50 cm x 59 cm x 23 cm and the Louis Vuitton Style Number is N40360.
