The Nike Air Max 1 Mini Swoosh Work Blue recreates the layered construction of the original Tinker Hatfield AM1 design from 1987 and dresses it in the colors of the sky.
The Work Blue Nike Air Max 1 with a Swoosh begins with an upper of breathable pale blue textile overlaid with tonal suede at the toe cap, mudguard, eye stays, quarter panel, and heel. Darker blue suede hits the midfoot, matches the laces, and the leather Nike Swoosh coursing across the side panel. Embroidered "Nike Air" branding hits the heel in white and matches the branding on the blue tongue tag. The sail-colored foam midsole offers springy cushioning, and the primary sail rubber outsole sports grooves and waffle lugs for grip.
The standout aspect of this shoe that we enjoy is adding a sunny goldenrod color that provides contrast. These hits of yellow appear on the outsole, in the tinting of the visible Air cassette in the midsole, and the embroidery of the Nike Swoosh on the lateral forefoot.
