Nike and Swarovski came together yet again on the Air Max 97 in 2021. This collaboration came just in time for Air Max Day of that year, adding another sparkling selection to celebrate the annual holiday. This marks the fourth time the two brands have worked on the Air Max 97, revamping the original Polar Blue colorway from 1997. The women's Nike Air Max 97 Swarovski Polar Blue is a disco ball for your feet, as the upper is covered in many Swarovski crystals. Underneath the crystals is a grey mesh that adds flexibility, breathability, and additional comfort to the mostly Air bubble midsole. From there, hits of Polar Blue appear solely on the Swooshes located on the tongue, side panels, and outsole. Lastly, the 97’s classic 360-degree Air bubble cushioning system brings the silver bullet train-inspired kicks together. The women's Nike Air Max 97 Swarovski Polar Blue released in March of 2021 for $400.
