Product Description
The Air Jordan 16 Retro SoleFly Art Basel was released during Art Basel in 2016. Jordan Brand teamed up with SoleFly, a sneaker shop located in Miami, to put the finishing touches on this sneaker.
Nike has used a "South Beach" theme to create lots of colorful sneakers over the years, so it wasn't a huge surprise to see SoleFly offer up its own take on this theme while coming up with the design for this shoe. It had a bright white leather upper and a bright white shroud that made it look like an all-white sneaker at first. But when this shroud was unbuttoned, it revealed loud pops of neon pink, with a few hits of turquoise thrown into the mix.
What made this sneaker extra special was that, unlike the shrouds found on some other Air Jordan 16s, the shroud on this AJ16 could be reversed and worn on the other side. It made it possible to turn this white shoe into one that had a bold hot pink color all over its upper. The Jordan 16 Retro SoleFly Art Basel was released on December 3rd, 2016, and initially retailed for $275.
