Product Description
The New Balance 1000 Joe Freshgoods When Things Were Pure Black Ice is part of a collaboration between New Balance and Chicago-based designer Joe Freshgoods.
Like other items in the collection, this sneaker celebrates the nostalgia of the Y2K era while looking to the future. The sneaker boasts a technical silhouette with ABZORB cushioning in the bulky midsole. One of the sneaker’s contemporary updates is a loose weave mesh across the upper, instead of mesh with small, tight holes. While the midsole, leather details, and mesh come in black, the fortifying leather overlays feature an iridescent brown that appears to change color depending on the lighting. Branding details include a small leather "N" on the side panel, "JFG" embroidered on the overlays, and dual branding on the tongue.
Our StockX experts love the vivid green color of the sockliner. The New Balance 1000 Joe Freshgoods When Things Were Pure Black Ice was released on April 11, 2024, and retailed at $170.
