One of Seattle’s most famous locations inspired the Reebok Kamikaze II "Fish Market" colorway. As the home of the former NBA team, the Supersonics, Seattle once had arguably the most exciting player in the Western Conference, slam dunker Shawn Kemp. The Reign Man represented Sea-town in the 90s with his #40 jersey and his signature Reebok sneakers but it’s the legendary Pike Place Fish Market that was top of mind when Reebok created this 2013 release of the Kamikaze II. The upper of the Fish Market Kamikaze II features two distinct features that come as obvious ties to the popular tourist location in Seattle. First, the red nubuck represents the glowing sign above the public market where locals and tourists stock up on salmon. Second, the metallic silver zig-zag pattern across the upper features "scales" like you would find on much of the fish sold in the market. An icy blue outsole add some additional pop to this unique Reebok colorway that released alongside the OKC and Sonics variations in February of 2013. Though it might be much different than traditional Kamikaze II colorways, the "Fish Market" Reebok Kamikaze II does an excellent job of representing the place that helped make the sneaker iconic back when it originally released in 1995.
