Product Description
The Air Jordan 4 Retro Alternate 89 GS was a part of the Air Jordan Alternate Collection. This collection also included the Air Jordan 2 Alternate 89 and the Air Jordan 5 Alternate 90 with each of these sneakers designed to show what Air Jordan player-exclusive sneakers might have looked like back in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
This grade school version of the Air Jordan 4 Retro Alternate used the Chicago Bulls’ old white-and-red home uniforms for inspiration. The bulk of the shoe was a bright white color and small pops of red were worked into the mix. The AJ4 Retro Alternate also had a few hits of black on the Jumpman logos that were on the tongue tag and heel.
What we appreciate most about this AJ4 sneaker is that it showcases what could have been if PE sneakers existed during Michael Jordan’s early years. The Air Jordan 4 Retro Alternate 89 GS was released on January 2, 2016, and it originally retailed for $140.
